âFeels just like the old days, huh?â Trigga said as he pulled out his weapon and checked it out before placing it in the small of his back. Gunplay blew out hot air through his nose, which made Trigga chuckle a bit before exiting the car.
âNigga, you always in yoâ fuckinâ feelings. What your issue now, Gunplay?â Trigga asked, nudging Gunplay in the side as they walked up the stairs to apartment 475 where they were told the man Trigga was looking for stayed.
âMy issue is that you always hit a nigga up on some shit like this. I like blastinâ on muthafuckas and shit but why the only time you call is when you need me to bust on some niggas? We canât just hang out or no shit like that? What you too good for a nigga now?â Gunplay fumed and Trigga tried to bite back the laugh that was tickling the back of his throat.
âYou like my brother, man,â Gunplay continued. âYou the only muthafucka in this world I know I can really trust with my life and I be feelinâ like you be using me or some shit.â
âShut that emotional shit up, Gunplay,â Trigga said finally, unable to hold back his laughter any longer. âYou know I love you, man. Even though you get on my fuckinâ nerves sometimes⦠and make me feel like I gotta blast yoâ ass every now and then. I got shit going on with the club and with Keishaâ¦itâs been hard to get out and just chill but you know I got mad love for you, man. With B.J. gone, I might even have a spot at the club for you. Letâs just handle this lilâ stuff we got here and weâll talk about it.â
Gunplay nodded his head, shaking his long blond dreads behind his back before continuing up the stairs. Both of them knew damn well that Gunplay would never work in Triggaâs club. They were both alpha niggas, used to runninâ their own shit. It was a wonder they even got along half the time.
Trigga smiled to himself but he couldnât even be mad at Gunplay for being upset about him not being around. That was the difference between he and Gunplay; Gunplay wore his heart on his sleeve. He was more reckless than Trigga and had the worst temper of the two but he was also the one who wouldnât hesitate to let it be known what was on his mind.
âYou ready?â Trigga asked once they were in front of the door of the man who was supposed to be taking Triggaâs money to purchase enough dope to triple his worth.
Gunplay nodded his head but Trigga hesitated still. He was a little on edge and it wasnât how he normally operated. But with everything that was at stake, he knew he had to move quickly.
Sensing Triggaâs apprehension, Gunplay took charge. Backing a few paces away from the door, he aimed his weapon at the knob and prepared to shoot.
